Gobblers Knob

Hello My Family,

It was so good to talk to all of you on Mother's day. It was really nice to see all of your faces and to hear your voices. It really gives me an appreciation for the technology that we all have. I would also like to thank you for the package that you gave me. The Banana Bread was super delicious. There was so much of it that I was able to share it with the Referral Center and the Referral Center Employees. So thank you from the Referral Center.

You may be wondering about the title that I have given my email. To clear things up Gobblers Knob is a mountain near Salt lake. I found this out as I was checking the validity of someone's address on Google Maps. The reason being is that once they have given us their address we can plug it into Mormon.org and there we can find their assigned ward, and the ward meeting time, the Bishops number, the missionaries number, and the ward address. So that is something that is really helpful.

I know that God has a plan for each and every one of us. Everything that is on this Earth, such as the mountains, the hills, and the animals are from God. I know that God created us so that we can learn and grow. He loves us with an infinite amount of love. So much that we are not able to comprehend it. Jesus Christ loves us, so much that He was willing to perform the Atonement for all mankind that they might be saved. I know that this is God's true church and that we can return and live with our Father in Heaven again. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Elder and Sister Duncan came this last Tuesday for devotional. Elder Duncan talked a lot about The Book of Mormon. It was kind of funny because earlier that day in companionship study Elder Knudsen and I talked about why it was important to read the Book of Mormon. Something that Elder Duncan said that was super awesome was "The voice of God through The Book of Mormon can help anyone feel the Spirit."

He talked about a study that was done and that what the church had done was they had taken 531 Non-Mormons and had each of them read one page of the Book of Mormon, highlight where they saw it talk about God and Jesus Christ, and then say how they feel. Elder Duncan showed us a video which carried some of their responses and it was just amazing what people said about it. He also showed us The Book of Mormon videos trailer. Elder Duncan then quoted President Nelson and said, "The Purpose of The Book of Mormon videos is not to entertain but to help us get into The Book of Mormon."

Thank you for all that you do and all the care you provide. I am so glad to be here on my mission during this time. I hope that all of you have a wonderful weekend and a great upcoming week.

Love,

Elder Stevenson
