Our God is a God of Miracles and of Truth

Hello again,

I want to share a scripture with all of you This comes from the book of 3 Nephi. It is 3 Nephi 27:13-14 and it says:

13 Behold I have given unto you my gospel, and this is the gospel which I have given unto you — that I came into the world to do the will of my Father, because my Father sent me.
14 And my Father sent me that I might be lifted up upon the cross; and after that I had been lifted up upon the cross, that I might draw all men unto me, that as I have been lifted up by men even so should men be lifted up by the Father, to stand before me, to be judged of their works, whether they be good or whether they be evil—

Jesus Christ did everything He could and gave everything He had so that we can receive everything. But it is our choice whether or not we receive all that the Father has. Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father are cheering us on, they want us to succeed. It was reemphasized this week how God cares about everyone and He reveals His truth to everyone. I invite you to serve anonymously this week. Look for opportunities to do whatever you can and I can promise you that God will bless you with much more than you have given, even if it not in the way that you may have wanted. God always gives us what we need so long as we are willing to act in righteousness.

I know that this gospel is true, that it is from Jesus Christ. I know that we are loved by a Father who will never give up on us no matter what happens. I know that Jesus Christ loves each and every one of us. I know that Jesus suffered, died, and rose again so that we can as well. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

This week was a super good week. I don't know if any of you remember Annelisse. I also don't know if I wrote about her either. Anyway she is someone that I taught back with Elder Stewart. I got back in contact with her and she is having amazing experiences. Here is one that she gave me permission to share.

"The exact date was July 14. It was the graduation of one of my best friends, and while me and my friends were getting ready in my house I was finishing to read my Book of Mormon. So when I finished I made a little prayer with all of my heart expecting to receive my answer in that moment and I prayed and meditate for a few minutes and nothing, I was soo disappointed that I told my friends we should go now to the graduation party.

And we were on our way to Antigua, the place of the party, and it was FULL of traffic and guess where we stopped moving cause of the traffic? A little but soooo beautiful LDS church -coincidence- I don't think so. And we stayed there for 30 mins so the only thing that I was thinking looking at the church was "how I've never realized there was this beautiful place" and the traffic started to move.

We got to the party and when everything finished a friend told me we should go and we did, we were talking about finding happiness in God and other stuff and suddenly out of nowhere at the same spot of the location of the church I felt an amazing peace and a little joy that I stayed in silence for a few minutes to the point my friend told me hey Anne i'm talking to you and that was how I got my answer and called the elders."

That was super cool. She also told us a story about how her life was saved and she knew that there was no way that it could be saved without God. That was also really special.

We found and taught someone named Ash from England. He told us about this dream that he had. Now Ash has been searching for the true religion of Jesus Christ for awhile now, and has been to many churches. So he believes different things from each of these churches. One of the beliefs that he has gained is that Jesus Christ and God are the same person.

So in this dream that Ash had, Jesus Christ was making him a house. It was a little cottage and God was there as well. Eventually the cottage was finished. Ash told us that this was what heaven was to him. He also told us that in this house he was living with his girlfriend. Ash then asked us, "Will I be able to live with my family forever?"

The entire thing was hard for Ash. He said, "I cannot deny what God showed me, but that is not what I believe." It was a really good talk.

I hope that you all have a wonderful rest of your week and a good upcoming one. I love you all.

Love,

Elder Stevenson
