Hey Everyone,
Some of you may have heard that only Elder Schwendiman and Elder Zaugg were going home. We were hit with quite the surprise. It turns out that not only Elder Schwendiman and Elder Zaugg were leaving but also Elder Heller, Elder Duran, and Sister Wageman. So things have been a little crazy around The Referral Center.
There were some things that went really good this week. You can read about them down below.

Today has been a pretty good day. Elder Zaugg, Elder Stewart, Sister Wageman, and I, along with two other missionaries got to speak at mission conference. We all spoke about a gift that has touched our hearts. I spoke about the gift of Brotherly Kindness. As I was preparing for it I felt very nervous, but I decided to stay on topic but to go by the spirit. Doing that as I went up gave me great inner peace after I finished. Although it was only about a minute long I felt that what I said was what needed to be said.
We found out that Kaitlyn went to the temple. Last time she went to the temple she told us that the next time she goes, she would be going inside the temple. Kaitlyn fulfilled her promise that she made to herself, to us, and even to her mom. She did baptisms and just loved it.

Elder Stewart and I did an exchange with Elder West. We were able to talk with Amy which was really good because the last few times we have tried to set up a lesson it fell through. She seems to be doing good. We also were able to talk with Keidi which was just fantastic.

Today’s light the world topic is honor Thy father and Thy mother. I know that mom and dad have made a huge impact in my life, and I know that they will continue to. One of the suggestions Light the world on mormon.org gives is to listen to the advice of your parents. That is a little hard when you are on your mission, but it was definitely helpful to look back at past advice they have given me.

Something interesting happened today. For member exchanges we did something different. Instead of doing chats or teaching a lesson with the member, we all got on our phones and looked at our friends on facebook. We scrolled through until the spirit told us to stop and once it did we would message that person that it stopped on. It was really cool, and was just a reminder that the spirit works in more than one way.

I went to the neurologist today. It was actually really interesting. My dad and I talked with a new doctor who helped me find out what was going on. It turns out that my vitamin D levels were really low so I get to start taking vitamins. I went to Zone Conference after the doctor, which was wonderful. I got to hear about ways that we can use our time more effectively. It gave me some ideas, but was also a little unclear because I had missed part of the meeting. Anyway I am now going to do my best to become a better missionary with effective time management.

Elder Zaugg left in the morning, which was sad but at the same time I am happy because he is with his family again. I got an awesome new companionship. My Companions are Elder Jacobson and Elder Stewart. It was an interesting day. We talked with Gabriel and with Tammy. Both seem to be doing very good.

I just want to say Happy Birthday Riley. I hope that everything is fantastic. You are one of the nicest people I know. I know that whatever happens you will look at it in the best light.
Our day working at the temple was great. I have a new assignment. I now assign people to places like the stairs and the recommend desk as well as the baptistery. It was originally Elder Savoie's assignment but he is our new district leader, so he has other things he needs to do. I saw Spencer at the temple and it was really cool to see him there, but we did not get to talk that much.
I love you all. I just want to leave you with my testimony. I know that God is real, and that He cares and loves us. I know that we are His children and because of Jesus Christ our loving brother we can return and live with Him again. God gives us gifts that are specific to us so that we can help others. We are on this earth to learn, grow, and find happiness. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Love,
Elder Stevenson
