The Joy of Learning

Hello again!

This week was super good I think that this is a good scripture that we can all ponder on. It is 3 Nephi 5:13 and it says "Behold, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I have been called of him to declare his word among his people, that they might have everlasting life."

I know that as we look to Jesus Christ, He will raise us up and help us to become all that we can. I also know that as we pray to God He will show us his hand, and how we can become the best disciples that we can be. I know that Jesus Christ lives and that He loves me. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

This week Elder Knudsen and I taught three new people. Their names are Allyson, Claude, and Angela. They are all super cool.

Claude's lesson was super cool. He is from Uganda. We taught him the restoration which went really well, then he ended by giving us a prayer in Swahili. That was pretty cool.

We had training about how to improve our chatting skills on Wednesday and Thursday with the employees which was fun. They gave us some really good suggestions, such as only Use smiley faces when encouraging them to do things. We learned that using smiley faces shouldn't be used all the time. people think that smiley faces lighten the mood, that is not the case though.

They also told us that we can introduce ourselves to the chats so they don't think that we are robots. Another good one was if you are taking a while to type tell them why you are taking a while to type, such as if you are talking about how to best phrase what you want to say or if you are researching the topic to tell them that.

This last one I am going to tell was really good. It was to not do a phone call and chat at the same time, unless they are not responding. If they are responding and you are taking a call, that makes it harder when only one person is chatting.

There is not much else to tell. I hope that you all have a great rest of your week.

Love,

Elder Stevenson
