Hello everyone,
This week has been really special. There is only a few weeks left till Christmas! I did not even realize this until Elder Stewart pointed it out to Elder Zaugg and I. So I am really excited for that. My new companionship with Elder Zaugg and Elder Stewart has been really cool because I feel like we all can be ourselves around each other but still be focused on the work.
Elder Stewart, Elder Zaugg, and Elder Stevenson
This week I would like to focus on the topic of being focused. Being focused I have found is something that really helps and is really important. When we are focused on the task at hand we work more effectively than if we were only partially focused. Focus shows commitment and can be a sign to others of our willingness. Willingness to listen, willingness to understand, a willingness to be obedient, a willingness to love, etc. Having a willingness to focus is much more powerful than if you are only focusing because you are told to. I invite you to focus on someone else this week and see what difference it has in your life.
I know that as I have focused on others I have found happiness. I know that as we turn outside of ourselves like Jesus Christ we will see others find that happiness as well. I know that Jesus Christ did walk the earth and that He did perform His Atonement for each and every one of us. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Today is my last day with Elder Woodruff. It has definitely been a good learning experience being with him.
We talked with Josefine. The lesson went really well. We talked about fasting with her. We also followed up on if she prayed about going on a mission which she said she did, but she feels that now is not the right time, which I can understand.

It's my first day with Elder Zaugg and Elder Stewart! We talked with a man named Azrael who is a previous investigator of Elder Zaugg's. Azrael is awesome. We talked with him about the ten commandments and he had really good insights on it.

The devotional was super good. Elder Adilson de Paula Parrella came and spoke with us. He said some really good things. Something He said was "When you have faith in Jesus Christ, you trust the lord enough to follow His commandments even when you do not completely understand the reasons for them."

We talked with a man named Jun today. He is a man from Singapore that we signed up. He is very funny but by the end of the lesson we found out that Jun was trolling us.

Today was basically a day of finding, so not that much to write about.

Elder Zaugg and Elder Stewart did introductions with Keidi today and it was really good. Elder Stewart asked her how she came to be baptized and how she responded was really special to me and I would like to share it with you all.
This is what she said, "Well. I met the local missionaries here in Estonia (I forgot to mention that's where I am) in like March 2016. Although first just wanting religious banter at some point I realized this could actually be for me. Prayers got answers amazingly enough. After they'd been teaching me for 6-7 months they were trying to get me to settle on a date for baptism. But I was not ready. Would've meant breaking up with my partner and being alone. I told them I could do it in the summer of 2017. It was the time that I knew I would be ready somehow. So life went on. Until I hit a point of crisis this spring April/May or such probably. I didn't want to have anything to do with the church. Until I found a link/way to talk to online missionaries ayy. And they really helped me get back. And also very gently got me to think about summer of 2017 for baptism like I'd always said. I didn't think anything would happen if I promised to think about it. But it brought me to a real revelation kind of a moment. I knew I could and would make this amazing covenant with God. I could write a book on that whole realization revelation kind of moment. But it's a moment that I hold dear and one that will never let me lose faith. Because of that I know for certain that everything about this gospel is oh so true."
I have a funny story. so there is going to be a new chapter for preach my gospel and our companionship was reading it and I did a misread. What is says is Abraham recounted that “the Gods saw that they would be obeyed, and that their plan was good." But what I read was Abraham recounted that “the Gods saw that they would be destroyed, and that their plan was good.”
I hope that you all have a great rest of your week.
Love,
Elder Stevenson
